Greetings, beloved friends, thank you for joining us in our labor of love. We celebrate our 28th anniversary with the assurance that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we are able to ask or think.

During this time of reflection, we must humbly give thanks to our God who is faithful, kind and full of mercy. David said, "For He is good and his mercy endureth forever." Let us lift our voices in unison with high praises unto our God. We cast our cares at his feet while together we say, "Thanks be to or God which giveth the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." (I Corinthians 15:57)

We must also express our appreciation to the church family of Oneness Pentecostal Tabernacle for their loyal support in helping us to reach this milestone. The Elders, staff, mothers, fathers and children have been supportive in every way possible. If it had not been for their love and sacrifice this celebration would not have been a reality.

Deacons and Officers

The word deacon means servant. The Apostle Paul gave Timothy instructions concerning deacons. He said the deacons must be worthy of respect, not double-tongued but sincere. In essence, I Tim. 3:8-13, is all about character, so deacons are expected to serve the church by the example of their character, as well as by their deeds.

In the Early Church deacons were chosen (as the need arose) to assist the elders in the temporal work of the church. Their origin is given in Acts 6, which tells how the Jerusalem church selected seven men to administer the finances, to serve tables, and to care for the poor of the congregation (Acts 6: 1-6).

Oneness Pentecostal Tabernacle is blessed to have deacons and officers who serve those in distress and need, while placing before the congregation opportunities to serve in the church, community and world.
